METALAG CASE HISTORIES
  Jute Industries Dundee

Installed one test round of METALAG staves in 1958 in the centre of a cylinder, where the most work, and wear, occurs. Although pins from the same batch were used for all the staves, 3 times before the METALAG staves they were able to increase their respinning cycle from 3 months to 9 months.  Furthermore, many of the original staves are still in operation after some 37 years and 40 repinnings.

  WOOL/SYNETHICS

25/30 sets of fine pinned N.I.F. METALAG staves have been supplied to various companies in Australia over many years, and they are still regularly returned for re-pinning on a 2 year cycle.

These are only a few examples of the extraordinary durability of METALAG staves
