METALAG CASE HISTORIES |
| |
Jute Industries Dundee
Installed one test round of METALAG staves in 1958 in
the centre of a cylinder, where the most work, and wear,
occurs. Although pins from the same batch were used for
all the staves, 3 times before the METALAG staves they
were able to increase their respinning cycle from 3
months to 9 months. Furthermore, many of the
original staves are still in operation after some 37
years and 40 repinnings. |
