Stewart Pinned Products Ltd design, manufacture and supply a comprehensive range of Pinned Rollers for Opening and Cleaning Cotton, Synthetic Fibres and Blends within the Blowroom. We supply our Pinned Rollers to both the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Aftermarket users as replacement parts.
Our Blowroom Pinned Rollers are ideal for fitting as Original Equipment or as a simple cost effective way to upgrade existing machinery.
PINLOCK® Pin Retention
All the Blowroom Pinned Rollers we manufacture and supply include the 'PINLOCK' pin retention system developed by Stewart Pinned Products Ltd, and is unique to our products.
Integral Construction and Advance Design
The Stewart family of Blowroom Rollers is an integrated range of products, all designed to take full advantage of their qualities from the aluminium alloy extrusions to long life carbon steel pins. They are designed and manufactured to a very high engineering standard and are dynamically balanced before being dispatch.
We have Blowroom Roller drawings and designs for many current machines and even machines no longer in production, whether it is a Solid-Type, Multi-Lag or Three-Lag. We can also provide replacement lags, and other components for conversions and upgrading of old machinery. This range of designs also offers control over air-flow which is essential for good cleaning of fibres.
Cleaning Cotton
Cotton Bales are typically delivered with highly fragmented particles of dirt trapped by and stuck to the fibres. As foreign matter can only be removed from the fibre surfaces, repeated new surfaces must be exposed to continue the cleaning process. The Stewart family of pinned rollers clearly fulfils this role, and it is now believed that the first opener and cleaner of a blowroom line should be a Stewart’s pinned roller.
Pins are Fibre-Friendly
The smooth, rounded sharp point of a Pin does much less damage to delicate fibre than conventional card-wire. The sharp point of a Pin also gives excellent fibre penetration. The result is exceptional fibre opening with minimum damage.
A pin-point penetrates fibres smoothly.
Card-wire can have sharp edges to damage fibres.
Pins give longer life
Stewart Pins are drawn from high grade carbon steel, hardened and tempered and then polished. The grain of the metal and the machining marks on the pins all run along its axis, so fibres can float freely around the pins.
Resistance to damage
Each pin is separately fixed so any accidental damage is restricted and there is no risk of further damage caused by wire stripping.
